TasteMate was designed by those who themselves have struggled to find food that met their unique dietary needs. Founded in 2024, we have sought to expand the amount of culinary possibilities to all those in the world who struggle to find suitable options.

From Our Kitchen to Yours

Our CTO Jonathan struggled with severe food allergies his whole life. Barred from dairy, eggs, and nuts, he never had the luxury of enjoying everyday foods from cookies to birthday cakes and from coffees to apple pies. Three years ago, our CEO Alex stepped foot into his doctor's office, only to receive his diagnosis of psoriasis. All of a sudden, he was faced with a 10-page printout of dietary restrictions that changed his life.

Our founders struggle with dietary restrictions every day, and so do many more among our family and friends. We understand the challenge: while cooking books, online recipes, and meal planning apps abound, none of them were tailored for those of us battling medical and dietary needs. This is why we built TasteMate — to serve a diverse community of people who have missed out on the world's delicacies for too long.
